Arrival in Toulouse
Pick up at Toulouse train station transfer to hotel in Montolieu (the book village)
Day 2
Lastours Castle – Cooking class
Visit of Lastours Castle (hiking 2 hours) in the morning + lunch in a local restaurant + Cooking class in the afternoon (5pm) and diner
Day 3
Revel – Sorèze – St Ferreol
Traditional outdoor market in the medieval town of Revel, lunch at leisure in the town + Visit of Sorèze village and St Ferreol lake + visit of a goat and cow cheese farm.
Day 4
Free day at leisure
Day free at leisure, you can enjoy the book village of Montolieu and discover its many libraries, book museum and restaurants ! You can also go for a walk in the beautiful nature as Montolieu is perched in the black mountain, footstep of the Pyrénées mountain.
Day 5
Mirepoix – Patisserie class
Traditional outdoor market in Mirepoix (beautiful medieval town) + French patisserie class in the afternoon(learn how to make a French croissant of a French mille feuille!)
Day 6
Carcassonne – Cooking class
Guided walking tour of Carcassonne medieval town + cooking class in the afternoon (5pm) and diner
Day 7
Chocolate workshop – Visit of vineyard
Chocolate workshop (10AM) and lunch in a traditional restaurant + Visit of one vineyard and wine tasting in the afternoon, meet with the wine maker and share his passion for vines and wines.
Day 8
Castelnaudary – Cooking class
Visit of Castelnaudary in the morning (Canal du Midi and local traditional artisanal potter) + lunch in a restaurant where the specialty is the Cassoulet (the dish that symbolizes Castelnaudary is called “Le Cassoulet”, this hearty stew is made with pork sausage, duck confit all surrounded by savory soupy white beans…Cassoulet gets its name from the dish in which it is prepared, a cassole. This is a casserole like dish made from a mixture of clay from the Lauragais region around Castelnaudary that is particularly heat resistant)
