The beautiful city of Sarlat la Canéda

Charming city located in the department of Dordogne in the South-West of France, Sarlat is the historical capital of the Périgord Noir as it is one of the most important sites of the Dordogne Valley. The city will not fail to seduce you with its architectural heritage and its gastronomic events. Let yourself be guided through the cobbled streets of this city classified as a city of Art and History in order to discover nearly a thousand years of authentic architecture with the famous slate roofs typical of the Périgord.
Known for being one of the most beautiful and best preserved medieval ensembles in Europe, the city also has the highest density of classified historical monuments with 65 protected monuments.

Food lovers will be delighted because Sarlat is the ideal place to discover the Périgord cuisine with its local products such as black truffles, porcini mushrooms, foie gras, or charcuterie.
