The Gorges du Verdon by foot, bike or canoe

In the heart of the regional natural park of the same name, the Gorges du Verdon are located in the South of France, straddling the departments of Var and Alpes de Haute Provence. Immense and sumptuous, this canyon is the largest in Europe. Its incredible scenery is the result of the fantastic work of erosion of the water on the limestone plateaus of Provence. The height of its cliffs varies between 250 and 700 meters and the depth of the gorges can also reach 700 meters. Its total length is 175 kilometers.

White water sports enthusiasts will be delighted because here the best way to admire these sumptuous landscapes is to cross the gorges by canoe or pedal boat. If you prefer to stay on land, there are many hiking trails, accessible on foot or by bike, through the nature like the road of the Corniche which will allow you to discover an exceptional fauna and flora as well as sumptuous viewpoints on the turquoise waters of the Verdon.
